To satisfy the needs of road riders, it includes an aerodynamic profile so your speed will never be at risk. It also includes 26 vents which provide airflow to the head from multiple angles, keeping riders cool on training or race day. The Synthe MIPS II also includes a Roc Loc 5 Air fit system which allows riders to fine tune the fit of their helmet in seconds and also suspends it slightly to create more cooling air flow.
Like all Giro MIPS helmets, the Synthe comes with unrivaled brain protection. The helmet is engineered to reduce rotational force in the event of a crash in addition to head-on force. A slip plane system helps create movement in the helmet to distribute the force and avoid it from reaching the brain of the rider. A tough outer shell works in conjunction with a polycarbonate lower shell which is permanently fused to the liner for amazing durability without any excess weight. To top off the unbeatable protection, Roll Cage Reinforcement offers another subtle line of defense within the helmet’s EPS foam.
